To register for a tournament, the player must first familiarize himself with the tournament rules and accept them.
Main prerequisite is to be able to broadcast the game on one of the streaming platforms (such as Twitch and YouTube) or via screen-sharing on Discord.
Registration for the tournament is only allowed from your main account in the HOTA lobby, this account must correspond to your skill level on 1 Hero templates, and the nickname must be the one you're most known by (example: Dreamhunter).
By mutual agreement, players can agree to play BO3 instead of BO1, All Random instead of standard trades, and also change Simultaneous Turns and Timer, in cases when this does not contradict the specific rules that were written by the tournament organizers.
Town pair free re-rolls are prohibited. Each player gets 1 re-roll with 1 town ban for 500 gold.
In a series of games, towns that were already played must be banned.
Organizers reserve the right to adjust and change the rules of their tournament, depending on the situation. In case of conflict between Common Tournament Rules presented here and specific rules written by the organizers, the latter always takes precedence.
All forms of cheating, the use of crashes, bugs, watching livestream of the opponent or casters (stream-sniping), the use of external software and modification of the template are forbidden.
Spoilers are prohibited (information from an opponent’s stream that the player could not have known without third-party involvement). In situations when there are no moderators in the chat who could remove spoilers in a timely manner, as well as ban those who violate this rule, it is strongly recommended to disconnect from all chats and switch to the Emotes-only mode on the stream until the end of the game.
Any attempts to abuse the timer after the end of the turn are forbidden. In case of repeated violation of this rule, the player may be punished with technical defeat.
Excessive slowness in final battles is not encouraged. If a player thinks about his move for too long (10 minutes or more), the organizers or judges have the right to give him a warning after which he will have no more than 3 minutes to make his move or lose the game.
Controversial situations that do not fall under any of these rules must be solved by the judges or tournament organizers.
When the players have agreed on the time and date of their match, one of them needs to write this information in the relevant Discord server (find a channel named #schedule) in the following format: Day.Month Player vs Player 11:11 UTC / MSK.
Right after the end of your match go to #results channel and write the result in the following format: Player 2 : 0 Player.
If your opponent does not respond in Discord or in the game (for more than 12 hours), notify the organizer or coordinator about this and show screenshots from the chat.
If you are 20 minutes late for your match, you forfeit the first game; if you are 40 minutes late, you forfeit the entire match.
It is possible to cancel a match and reschedule it (at least 6 hours before the start). Provided that the opponent does not mind and he has the opportunity to play at another time. Otherwise, you will need to resolve this issue with the organizers and judges of the tournament (you must be ready to present a relevant proof if it's the case of some unforeseen situation).
