Proceedings of the tournament
The tournament has two phases:group phase and knockout phase.
Groups will be drawn on 16.09.2022 on the website www.h3.gg. After the groups are drawn, dedicated channels for the tournament will be created on discord h3.gg for communication.
The progression of the group phase:
In the groups, players play in a system of each against each other.
For winning a match a player receives 1 point, for defeat 0 points.
2 players from the group with the highest number of points advance to the knockout stage.
In the case of players with the same number of points in the group, the position is determined by the result of the direct match.
In the case of three or more players with the same number of points and without a clear winner in the direct matches (for example, A > B, B > C, C > A), then the extra game will decide.
The BO1 (Best Of 1) game system applies.
(After explicit agreement of both players, the match system can be adjusted).
The group phase ends on 30.09.2022, then the tournament enters the knockout phase.
The progression of the knockout phase:
The winner of the match advances to the next round in the knockout stage, the loser goes to the bottom ladder.
In the knockout phase, the BO3 system applies. The cities that have already been used must be banned in the next match.
The game system for the finals is BO5, with no possibility for players to ban cities. Any drawn pair of cities must be played, and cities from the previous game must be banned, proceeding in the same way until the finals are over.
The deadline for playing matches for each knockout phase is 7 days.
Losers bracket:
In the losers' ladder, the classic trade is replaced by hero roulette, the draw to be made using the tool found at [link].
The gameplay host draws a pair of heroes by appropriately setting the tool on the page for the Duel 2.69N template, then clicking the ROLL button.
Each player is entitled to 1 re-roll of a given pair of heroes for a fee of 500 gold pieces.
The host will enter the result of the drawn pair in the game chat, if an opponent requests a preview of the draw an transmission should be made available to them via the discord app.
The trade for a hero proceeds in the same way as the classic city bidding, then the players bid for a color.
The system of play for the losers' ladder is BO3.
The deadline for matches in the losers' ladder is 5 days counting from the first day of the end of the respective knockout phase preceding the game.
From the 1/8th phase of the tournament follows the obligation to make the broadcast available on one of the services: YouTube, Twitch or Discord. At the same time the player agrees to re-broadcast and commentary of tournament games on h3.gg channels.
Each player has the right to forfeit any number of matches.
In case of violation of the rules by a participant, the match is terminated by a walkover.
Gameplay
Matches should be played through the HotA lobby. In case the lobby is not available, the match can be played through Hamachi or Game Ranger.
Procedure of trade
The player joining the lobby selects the number 0 or 1, the host performs a coin toss, and then the selection of cities takes place.
The choice of towns is made by clicking Random Town vs Random Town (option available in the PvP-options tab).
Players can ban 0-2 drawn towns for a fee of 500 gold pieces. The first willingness to ban is declared by the winner of the coin toss. There is a maximum of one such ban per player. The above rule does not apply in the finals.
The bidding for a city and for a color is started by the player who won the coin toss. The first bidding applies to cities, while the second bidding applies to color.
The red player chooses a hero first.

If the organizer during the map check determines that the moves were not repeated, he may order a reload of the map. If a player deliberately changes his moves to gain an advantage, the organizer may grant a walkover to his opponent.
If a player has excess time after loading the game, he should spend this excess time waiting on the city or hero screen - not on analyzing gameplay or playing. In the absence of a timer, these actions can give an undeserved advantage.
