❖ 2 stages: Group Stage and Playoffs.
❖ Group Stage: Top 16 of MDGA are seeded into 16 groups while the remaining players are selected randomly to fill in. In the groups players face off each other in a BO3 matches.
1st and 2nd places advance to Upper Bracket while 3rd place advances to Lower Bracket, the remaining players are eliminated.
❖ Playoffs: Double Elimination. Players from the group stage is seeded into Upper Bracket, which is created in a way that winners of groups matchup randomly against the runner-ups of other groups. Third place players from the Group Stage will be placed in the Lower Bracket 1st round and will play against losers of Upper Bracket Round 1.
BO3 matches, from Top 8 and onward, series are played BO5.
❖ Regulations. This tournament will use the Common Tournament Rules: https://www.h3templates.com/tournaments/ctr.
❖ Streaming is required for all games of the tournament - Twitch, YouTube, Bilibili or Discord screen sharing.
❖ After each game, the winner needs to write a report in the #results channel, including relevant records (break time, number of Skeletons or Demons).
❖ If you wish to cast a certain game, make sure to announce it in the #casting channel upfront.
❖ All games must be ranked games.
❖ In Group Stage and Upper Bracket, each player can pay his opponent 1500 gold to ban one hero. The banning process must be completed after the town trade and before the color trade.
❖ You can ban a hero by typing "-Name" (For instance: -Loynis) or type "no ban" if you don't want to ban any hero. Players who lose the town bid have to make this decision first. The gold is calculated as the sum of town trade, color trade, re-roll fee and ban fee.
❖ Timer: 2 / 1:10 / 0:20. Simultaneous turns: 127.
❖ Templates.
In the Upper Bracket, all games are played on Duel 2.9b template with standard trade format. Each player can also re-roll the Hero pair for 500 gold once per game. Previously played faction must be re-rolled (or banned). There is no ban in BO5 series.
In the Lower Bracket, all games are played on Duel 2.9b T+ (Tavern Choice), standard trade format is replaced by All Random.
T+ Specific rules:
Players are allowed to hire one additional Hero at the start of the game. However at the end of turn 111, one of the two Heroes must be removed. Buying more than 1 Hero is strictly forbidden.
Players can choose any of the three available Heroes (1 they started with and 2 in the tavern) as their main Hero that they want to keep.
Competitive timer: 3 / 1:10 / 0:20.
